  • Over 100 years of war from the late 1700's to the late 1800's where indigenous Gullah peoples resisted European occupation, preserved & maintained their autonomy. The Gullah peoples utilized the local terrain strategically, employed guerrilla tactics, using swamps & forests for surprise attacks and evading capture. Their connection to the land, each other and their fierce determination made them formidable opponents.

  • The Mothership landed here many many years ago, burying itself and impacting the topography you see here. Creating this Floating City of Quaponda across the water valley with the 11:11 trees growing upward and creating a portal.

    The crash unearthed fossils of every kind of ancestry known to earth, as well as creating a source of new life flourishing with the mother. Quick sand, tunnels, layers of topsoil, clay and sand, are all revealed here. And if you search throughout, you may uncover scientific discoveries, special tools and shells, as well as helping monitor the balance of how we care for this land.

  • Reset yourself in equilibrium to the shore and the water, the sun and the moon, the flight and swim of the birds, the balance and harmony of the nature that you are. There is an ancient catfish named Namazu that lives deep in the waters here, he aids the indigenous peoples by sinking into the mud to create quakes that cause multitudes to respect the nature, the ancestry and themselves.This is a perfect place to explore the water, make some art, music or film and admire the beauty that is the source of life.

  • A stroll through a grove is a gift beyond measure, grounding, vibing, and searching for life's treasures. We start by looking up to acknowledge the longleaf pines, one of the most endangered environments that used to cover the entire Southeast with its wildlife. It was a forest managed by indigenous peoples, by fires and gathering the herb called Life Everlasting. Look for special gifts and clues here on this walk that can be traded in at the forest for power ups and extra lives.

    Significant: Gator Slides. Cat Tails which are a food source, filter and fire starter. Phosphorus Finds. - located on the way to the main road entrance from that side with all the trees which are similarly spaced apart

  • In this forest there is a clear trail, and many trees placed similarly apart from one another. Each tree is a mother tree, hosting life and harboring safe space for respite. The kids are released to go find a tree which has a gift attached to it. Then a horn blows and the Haints or Boo Hag’s are released into a game of tag. Haints are a malevolent energy with a wish to do evil to others, trapped between the living and the dead. A haint can shape shift, shed its skin, attach to or be a person, but it cannot cross water. That is why so many roofs of homes in Charleston are painted Haint Blue, to trick the ghosts into thinking it was water so they would not stop there. There are 4 rounds to a game of Boo Hag Tag and the winner is well rewarded.

    Significant: The Haint Ghost feels like a weight, or as a breathing  force that paralyzes and makes the breath labored and heavy. It can be called a Boo Hag and should be respected. Breathe deep. - located at the drive forest with spaced trees
